PhilRights believes that genuine empowerment of Filipino communities is built through continuous education grounded in research and validated by lived experience — by the people, for the people, and with the people.
PhilRights was established through a resolution passed during the 7th National Congress of the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA) and was formally constituted in 1991.
Through research and documentation, monitoring and support, education, and information, we confront injustice and advance a rights-based approach to development.
